Have you ever felt like you were born in the wrong era? Does vinyl interest you more than iTunes? Well then, the Crosley CR49 Traveler Portable Turntable is a lovely addition to any home or dorm room.

The Crosley manufacturing company has been filling homes with music since the 20s. The Crosley Collection of replicas was built to be well-designed and fun, just like the old days.

The portable turntable has built-in speakers. The set-up is really easy and with a lightweight suitcase. The Crosley CR49 Turntable is a practical travel buddy, especially when I want to bring the retro sound to a friend’s house.

The traditional vintage appeal means it blends in well with almost every decor. Also if black does not blend in well with your home design, I’d recommend looking at same model in tan.

One of the best features of the Crosley CR49 Portable Turntable is that it plays all three common vinyl speeds. Meaning all my 33 1/3, 45, or 78 rpm records can be played on one stylist machine, less restrictions and more easy listening.

There is one major disadvantage when it comes to this turntable. Since the speakers are built in, this means there is no plug for external speakers. Therefore, this vinyl player is not great for a huge dance party. It’s a good sound for one room. Another bummer about this vinyl player is that it does not have a USB connection to export the music from the vinyl to your home computer.

This turntable is ideal for the inexperienced vinyl collector, someone who considers themselves a student of music. This vinyl player may not be good gift for your father, who might have every Beatles albums ever made. Since your parents definitely heard music at a different volume in the 60s, the 50s sound may not be heavy enough for them. So I would keep this away from the older generations. But if you’re a college students or young adult that admires vintage style and appreciates the volume control. This product will keep all its promises.

I enjoy this product because of its uncomplicated, good-looking and long lasting qualities. Also recently graduating from college and now settling into my own place. I would like to applaud the Crosley CR49 Traveler Portable Turntable for moving with me over five times. It maintained its beauty and sound. The Crosley CR49 Traveler Portable Turntable is available at Amazon for $120 and if you came into my room to ask where the sweet tunes were coming from, I would definitely show off my retro turntable.
