Girls with curly hair, like me, know that sometimes you just need to tame the beast, and to do that, you need a flat iron that will be up to the task. The Conair 3/4 Inch Ceramic Flat Iron may be little, but it is definitely able to handle whatever you throw at it.
The main feature on this flat iron is its 3/4 inch ceramic plating, which gives it a non-stick and static-free surface. It’s great for any and all hair types, as it has up to 25 heat settings. I usually just turn it onto the highest setting because my hair is naturally very thick and wavy, but for someone with thinner hair, a lower setting would be better to avoid any burning or accidental crimping. The heat settings also allow for versatility; you can adjust the flat iron for pin-straight hair or bring ringlet curls to soft waves with a lower setting. The Conair 3/4 Inch Ceramic Flat Iron claims to have a 30-second instant heat-up, but I would let it sit at least a minute before expecting great results. There is an even heat distribution to prevent any one part of the ceramic plate from getting too hot; this also helps give the hair an even straighten. This flat iron is on the smaller side, but its small size makes it easier to get hair right at the roots, which gives it an edge over the bigger models. There is an auto-off feature, in case you forget to unplug it or turn it off when you’re done. This feature is never convenient and has been useful to me more than once. This model also comes with a limited two-year warranty, which I have used. My first model blew out on me suddenly, but I called Conair and they replaced it free of charge, no questions asked. (My new one is working great, by the way.) Since this is a smaller flat iron, it does take more time to straighten thick hair than it would with a larger flat iron, but it still gets the job done.
- Non-stick and static-free surface
- 25 heat settings
- Quick heat-up
- Even heat distribution
- Auto-off feature
- Limited tw0-year warranty
This product would be great for all hair types, although obviously it would work more quickly with thin or fine hair than with thick hair. At just $17.99 with a two-year warranty, it’s worth a look.
