I love nail polish, it’s a great way to spice up an outfit or make an ordinary day a little more special.  What I don’t love is spending a lot of time painting my nails only to have them chip what feels like seconds later. After being disappointed time after time by nail polishes that promise fast drying, long lasting color I stumbled upon Essie brand nail polish.  Finally! A nail polish that stays chip free and makes painting my nails worth the effort.

Essie Nail Polish is a well known brand that is only gaining popularity.  They offer over 200 different shades designed to fit any occasion.  They have an impressive selection of classic colors and shades, as well as many exciting, trendy, unique colors.  Essie makes a high quality nail polish that lasts for weeks without chipping, though you may want to change it more often that that to fit in all the fantastic colors they offer.

Let’s go over the best parts of this nail polish, as well as cover any potential issues it may have.

Pros

  • Great color selection
  • Long lasting
  • High Quality
  • Goes on smooth

Essie has so many colors to chose from is almost guarantees you’ll find something you love and it’s long lasting formula is wonderfully chip resistant.  This nail polish is high quality from it’s contents down to the design of it’s chic square bottle and strong brush that won’t fall apart of leave bristles in your drying nails.

Cons

  • It runs about $8 a bottle
  • It takes a while to dry in between coats

If there’s one downside to this nail polish, it’s the price.  It retails for around $8 a bottle, which is less expensive than some other designer brands that make the same promises, but still more expensive than the average nail polish you could buy at the drugstore.

A large part of Essie’s initial appeal for me was
all the buzz I’d heard about it.  This polish is
incredibly current and stylish, with celebrities
like Carey Mulligan, Eva Mendes and Madonna wearing the brand.
Even though Essie nail polish is a little more expensive, and doesn’t dry as quickly as other cheaper brands, I would definitely recommend this product to a friend.  This is a case of getting what you pay for, and those few extra dollars promise a much more sophisticated, reliable nail polish.
