I have major allergies, and when they act up to the point where I can’t breathe through my nose, I use Afrin No Drip Nasal Decongestant.
Not having the ability to breathe easy through one’s nostrils, can drive someone crazy. It certainly annoys me. If you have allergies, or just have a cold, you know what I’m talking about.
All you want is instant relief of your stuffy nose. Well, Afrin has made the cure –Afrin No Drip Nasal Decongestant.
The product claims to last for 12 hours…and it does. However, if you use the product religiously, you will find that the 12 hours reduces a bit, and the effects tend to wear off a little sooner. The solution? Don’t overuse this product.
Anyone 6 years or older is okay to use this product. Afrin does suggest talking to a doctor about using on children under the age of 6.
I would say the best part about this product is that it works almost instantly! By that, I mean within 5 minutes maximum you can breathe! This provides a great deal of relief for those suffering from a stuffy nose. While this version of Afrin nose sprays can dry out your nose if used often, there are other nose sprays that offer a coating ingredient to soothe dry noses.
Afrin also claims that this spray will stay where you spray it, and not drip down your throat or nose. I must say, I don’t quite agree. While most of the liquid does go up your nose as it should, sometimes it does go down the back of your throat, or down your nose depending on how congested you are. At least, this is what I have experienced. Also, after using this product, I have found that my nose tends to be runny for a couple hours right after I have sprayed the product. This is definitely irritating. However, having the ability to breathe is worth a runny nose in my opinion.
