Every Spring and Autumn my lips tend to feel dry and at times you can actually see cracks in my lips from them being chapped. After trying several products, Burts Bee’s 100% Natural Lip Balm has seized my dry lips. This balm is rather refreshing and when I apply it in the morning, the menthol actually wakes me up. I apply it every single day before putting on my lipstick. Its best uses is for daily maintenance of lips, burns, treats chapped lips, and prevents wind burns which I have had a time or two when surfing.
This natural balm has sunflower and coconut oils that nourish and soften lips all at the same time. What seals in the hydration is the beeswax which is the featured ingredient. Burts works very well for everyday use especially in cold or windy conditions as well as dry climates.Actress Julianne Moore is a huge fan of the lip balm as well as the Naturally Nourishing Milk and Honey Body Lotion they carry.
The pros about the balm is that it doesn’t feel heavy on your lips, and that when you first put it on your lips the soothing cooling effect is quite pleasant. It really coats your lips with hydration like it’s supposed to do and the balm maintains its smoothness on your lips without having to re-apply which I find to mean that is really does improves your lips. It also works as a great primer for lipsticks or gloss, and its great to know that the product that is going on my lips is made from all natural ingredients.
You can get the Burt’s Bees lip balm also in a tin version which is a bit cheaper than the tube. The version that I have actually smells like peppermint, but for those who prefer a sweeter smell, go with the Honey Beeswax balm that smells like honey and brown sugar. There are definitely other brands of lip balms out on the market like Carmex, , Badger Balm, and a ton of Chaptick Products that are definitely cheaper than Burts Bees, but I highly doubt you will get a better product than the Burts Bees 100% Natural Lip balm by going a cheaper route.
