Product Review by Cheree Ramon:
The Nike Pro Victory Compression Sports Bra is a must have for any woman looking to find a comfortable, supportive, and fashionable sports bra. It’s nearly seamless design will keep you supported without pinching or chaffing, allowing for maximum comfort and agility.
It features built-in nylon stabilizers in the straps that reduce pull and minimize stretching to eliminate any distracting jiggling or movement, allowing you to focus more on your workout and less on your chest. The racer-back design increases your range of motion and holds you in place during workouts so you won’t have to constantly readjust.
Because it is a compression sports bra, it can feel like your breathing is constricted in your normal size. In order to avoid this problem and alleviate this feeling, you can go with a size larger than you normally wear. While this sports bra is targeted towards keeping A, B, and C cup women comfortable and dry during medium-impact sports such as cycling, and dance, I have found that its versatility stretches beyond its intended audience.
I accidentally found this sports bra on a sales rack at a local sporting goods store so I hadn’t looked into it or read any customer reviews, which left me unsure if I wanted to pay $30 for one sports bra. But since I really liked its look and the fact that it comes in a multitude of colors, I didn’t want to leave without at least knowing my size (so I could look for it cheaper online). I decided to try it on and immediately I was hooked. It was super smooth and reduced the appearance of my D cup to about a C cup, so I was easily sold on its “compression” abilities. I tested it out a little by jumping up and down and there was literally zero movement of the straps and more importantly, almost zero movement of my chest. I decided that I couldn’t leave the store without it and would buy one and see how it worked in practice. This was one of the best bra buying decisions I’ve ever made.
I have now been using that same Nike Pro Victory Compression Sports Bra 2-3 times a week for over six months at both cycle and hot yoga classes; needless to say, it’s kept me almost completely dry during its fair share of workouts! As with many sports clothing, this sports bra has the ability to trap sweat and obtain a funky smell if used often. I noticed this a few months into wearing it and began adding about a cup of distilled white vinegar to the washing machine while cleaning my workout laundry. It got rid of the scent so I made an effort to use this method regularly to keep the funk out.
I would suggest hang drying this bra in order to avoid tearing of the Nike logo, however this is superficial as I do not believe drying by machine affects the bra’s support. In short this sports bra is nothing less than amazing! I love the fact that it still fits the same as it did when I tried it on so many months ago and that it has maintained the same seamless feel and non-slip shoulder support even with regular machine washing; it has more than paid for itself and I would suggest it to every woman!
