Doing the laundry is usually not the funnest part of a person’s day. Dealing with the giant detergent container, which manages to get soap everywhere despite my best efforts, is so irritating, it’s a wonder I get to the laundry at all. Enter Method Laundry Detergent, with the handy little pre-measured dispenser that squirts just the right amount of cleaner directly in to my washing machine. I’ve found that with Method Laundry Detergent, doing the laundry is no less time-consuming, but it’s a little more fun and a lot less messy.

Method Laundry Detergents are designed to be user-friendly in so many ways. The dispenser is pre-measured so that all the user needs to do is push the pump four times, and start the load. The bottle is tiny compared to most other products on the shelves, yet still claims to wash up to 50 loads of your toughest laundry. In my case, with an Air Force man as a boyfriend and a one-year-old toddler diving in to anything and everything clothes first, my toughest laundry usually has to be defeated in mortal combat before being wrestled in to the machine. Given that this is the age of gimmicks and empty promises, I refused to expect much of the tiny bottle the first time I purchased it.
To my great surprise, I found the Method Laundry Detergent really does the trick! My first bottle of Method lasted for nearly 2 months, even doing laundry a few times a week. I throw our worst laundry items at it, and they still come out clean and smelling crisp and fresh. Where other detergents generally have an array of scents, Method has only three varieties: Fresh Air, Peony Blossom, and Free + Clear. Personally, I found the floral scent too powerful, but the Fresh Air style is perfect for me and my boys. For those with sensitive skin, Free + Clear is made without any additives for scent.
Method Laundry Detergent is, at first glance, more expensive than other brands. At around $14 per bottle, I was certainly tempted to pass it by at first. Yet, I was so pleased with the petite size of the bottle, which makes for incredibly easy storage compared to the behemoths I purchased previously, the strength of the cleaning agent, and the longevity of the product amount, I have been permanently converted to Method Laundry Detergent.
